Using a Scale for Weight Loss

The more you weigh yourself, the more you lose.

If you are trying to lose weight, then weight yourself with a scale, it will elevate your mood and give you a sense of control over your weight loss. People who go on diets and do not use a scale are more likely to lose as much weight compared to those that do use the scale. Weight yourself once a day, anymore then that is just a waste of time.

Buy a cheaper model of a weighing scale.

You do not need a fancy hi-tech scale, if you want to know your body fat percentage then invest in one, however it is not necessary.

Weight can fluctuate 5 pounds in 24 hours.

By having meals high in sodium, drinking soda, or drinking too much water can cause your weight to fluctuate and increase. The body is able to burn 2 pounds just by breathing and sweating.  Make sure to weight yourself at the same time, generally in the morning right after you go to the bathroom without clothes on is the best time.

You can lose inches without weighing less.

Just because the number on the scale has not changed does not mean you should become discouraged. Make sure to measure your waist, and have a conscious feeling of how your cloths fit, and how much energy you feel. Remember that muscle weights more than fat.

Where you put your scale matters

Make sure to weigh yourself on an even surface, avoid tiles, bath mats, and any uneven surface as it can through off the scales reading by 20 pounds.
